Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk manages incoming payments, properly tracking them into the company system to maintain accurate bookkeeping records. The Accounts Receivable Clerk, is also responsible for collecting payments for the company using skills in collection and communication.
General Job Duties:
- Record daily deposits in SAP
- Resolve customer account discrepancies
- Produce reports as necessary
- Posting account adjustments
- Back up to the receptionist
- Collect past due invoices
- Report account problems to the Supervisor
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed.
- Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans.
- Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system.
- Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses.
- Update client accounts based on payment and current contact information.
- Set up new customer accounts. Perform Credit inquiries and Establish credit limits.
- Maintain and Purchase office supplies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic accounting principles and math skills
- Strong Data Entry and calculator skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or GED; Minimum one year experience utilizing Accounting Principles
Physical Requirements:
Reading reports, use computer, and work with various office equipment. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
