This position also requires weekday and possibly weekend work on assigned sites and work supporting those designated sites. Assigned sites may also require travel, overnight, or extended stays. Sites typically are in the Southwestern United States.

Responsibilities
- Perform intermittent inspections of commercial solar projects as the installation progresses to identify and correct quality issues and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Ensure the timely completion of all required project quality and commissioning documentation as the installation progresses and review all documentation for completeness and conformance with established standards.
- Review project specs, product data sheets, and engineering documents to ensure construction compliance.
- Stage and verify the components of data acquisition, control, and performance monitoring systems.
- Oversee the installation of all commercial solar project data acquisition, control, and performance monitoring systems.
- Assist in energizing, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting completed projects to ensure the proper operation of all systems.
- Assist with utility-required inspections and witness testing.
- Assist in monitoring and implementing changes to standard procedures, methods, materials, and installation details to increase project quality.
- Assist in the planning and executing of Warranty, Operations, & Maintenance work.
- Position may be required to assist other departments when not performing primary duties.
Education and Experience
- 2 years of working experience with construction, quality management, commissioning, or O&M of commercial solar PV systems.
- Experience with commercial solar PV system commissioning and testing processes and equipment.
- NABCEP certification or the ability to obtain such certification is strongly preferred but not required.
- Working familiarity with the applicable sections of the National Electrical Code and other local and national building codes and standards.
- General knowledge of how commercial solar PV systems work. Ability to read and interpret electrical, structural, and civil drawings packages.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple project commitments effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally up to 50% of the time.
- Must possess current driver's license with a clean driving record.
