We moved into a new state of the art facility in 2020. We are paperless, use electronic health records and Dentrix office management software.
We are seeking a full-time or part-time office receptionist who is friendly, self-motivated, and passionate about providing high-quality care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting & checking patients in and out and updating patient medical and dental health history paperwork
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Answering phone, email, and voicemail
- Navigating insurance web sites, verifying dental insurance coverage, and entering information into the Dentrix office management software
- Insurance claim and pre-treatment estimate submission
- Update patient information using Dentrix office management software
- Professional and friendly customer service interactions with patients
- Maintaining a clean and organized dental office environment
- Coordinating patient care with other offices
- Work closely with the dental team to create personalized treatment plans
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Identifying patient balances, collecting and posting patient payments
- Assisting practice manager with administrative tasks
- Check in lab cases
- Input all treatment/treatment plans in the management software program (charts) as necessary
- Insurance claim processing
Requirements:
- Professional phone and email etiquette
- Excellent listening skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Computer proficiency, including excellent typing skills, windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to educate patients without judgment or scolding
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Medical or Dental Office experience
- Dentrix software experience is a plus but not required
- Experience with Dental Insurance
