Location: Maryland or Remote (Illinois)
Are you an experienced land acquisition professional ready to make a tangible difference in the renewable energy space? Do you thrive negotiating impactful agreements and building lasting relationships? If so, this Manager, Land Origination role could be your ideal next step:
You will be responsible for:
- Negotiating and securing land lease agreements to support the client's solar project pipeline.
- Managing third-party land acquisition resources and maintaining key relationships with landowners, local officials, and stakeholders.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to identify and evaluate potential project sites and assist with permitting and stakeholder engagement.
- Mentoring and guiding members of the land origination team, fostering a collaborative culture.
In order to be considered for this role you will have:
- 5 years of direct land leasing or acquisition experience.
- Strong negotiation skills and expert-level knowledge of land and legal principles.
- Ability and willingness to travel (25-50%) to support acquisition activities.
Preferred but not essential:
- Renewables industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, JD, MBA, or Real Estate license.
- RPL/CPL certification or local notary license.
If you are successful, you will receive:
- Salary: $90,000 - $125,000
- Bonus: Incentive target opportunity plus commission eligibility.
