Position Expectations

Soltage is seeking an entry-level candidate to join an established and fast-growing solar distributed generation company as a member of the Portfolio Management department.

The Portfolio Management Analyst will support the financial and business management of Soltage’s portfolio of solar projects. The position requires the candidate to develop a deep understanding of investment structures and assist in managing and maintaining these financing structures on an ongoing basis. This includes cashflow management, investor reporting, compliance, budgeting, the sale of environmental commodities, and other portfolio-level responsibilities as they arise.

Specific Job Functions

  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Develop and improve frameworks for management of large financial datasets, creating functional and thoughtful mechanisms for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cashflow models to support capital planning, working capital management, and decision-making.
  • Effectively communicate financial results and key insights to senior management.
  • Support managing debt and tax equity facilities to ensure compliance with financing documents.
  • Engage in REC sales activities and maintain current views of various REC markets
  • Assist with strategic initiatives and other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, or related field from an accredited university;
  • 1 - 2 years’ work experience preferred;
  • Excellent data management skills in excel and other data-management platforms;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required;
  • High degree of attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task;
  • Demonstrated interest and in and understanding of the renewable energy field through work experience, projects, coursework;
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting concepts;
  • Strong critical reading and analytical reasoning skills;

Location:

This position will be staffed out of Soltage’s headquarters in Jersey City, NJ.
