What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at SOLTECH?
Overview
As an SDR, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of the sales process by identifying and qualifying potential customers, and helping to set the stage for business development. You will be responsible for nurturing marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) through prospecting activities, managing initial outreach, and setting up meetings for our business development team. Additionally, you will assist our business development team with the creation of proposals, services agreements, and work orders. This is a key role in ensuring that we maintain a strong and healthy sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Qualification & Outreach : Engage with marketing-qualified leads from our SEO, SEM, and paid advertising initiatives to qualify prospects.
- Reach out to past prospects in our Salesforce database, who were previously marked as “lost” for various reasons (funding issues, competition, timing, etc.), and attempt to re-engage them.
- Conduct initial prospecting via phone, email, and other communication channels to assess interest and fit.
- Provide clear explanations of our service offerings, processes, and value proposition.
- Prospect Engagement : Act as the first point of contact for prospects, delivering a professional and positive brand experience.
- Handle inbound inquiries and effectively respond to questions or concerns from potential customers.
- Set up meetings between qualified prospects and the business development or solution design teams to advance the sales process.
- Proposal & Documentation Support : Assist the business development team in creating customized proposals, services agreements, and work orders for prospects.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all documentation aligns with customer needs and business requirements.
- CRM Management : Accurately record and maintain prospect and lead information in our Salesforce CRM system.
- Track all interactions and ensure timely follow-ups to move leads through the sales pipeline.
- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with the business development team to ensure smooth transitions from lead qualification to active sales conversations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and ensure a consistent approach to lead engagement.
