Overview:
Our client is looking for an ETL SSIS Software Engineer to add to their Enterprise team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into their data warehouse or data lake.
Job Details:
- Understand business requirements and perform technical implementations using enterprise applications expertise.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for on-premises and hybrid environments.
- Develop and optimize SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) across various sources.
- Implement error handling, logging, and auditing mechanisms to monitor and troubleshoot SSIS packages for data quality and integrity.
- Build integrations between systems, ensuring smooth data flow and transformation between platforms.
- Work in an Agile environment with daily standups, collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand enterprise-wide data needs.
- Maintain a 50/50 balance between new development and sustaining existing processes.
- Ensure performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes to meet scalability and efficiency requirements.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for development, testing, and production environments.
- Maintain professional and technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of strong ETL/SSIS experience
- Expertise in SSIS, T-SQL, and SQL
- Experience building integrations between systems and developing SSIS workflows.
- Strong understanding of master data concepts and enterprise application structures.
- Agile development experience and ability to work within a structured team environment.
- Knowledge of internal-facing applications and enterprise data flows.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Experience with Python for scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with AWS and Cloud-based data solutions
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing principles and best practices.
- Exposure to enterprise systems like QAD and SAP.
- Understanding of integration platforms such as Boomi.
Location:
This role is based in Duluth, GA with a hybrid schedule - onsite three days a week.
