Must be Bilingual (Spanish)
1st Shift: 7:00 am - Monday - Friday
Pay rate: $18
Some of your duties include:
- Ability to read a tape measure down to the 32nd of an inch
- Must be punctual daily
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Cuts, notches, and routes to correct dimensions
- Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template
- Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade
- Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine
- Conducts and ensures "first piece" inspection before proceeding
- Observes machine operation workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
- Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machine, or workpieces
Skills you will need:
- Must be able to set up and use all saws in the production process
- Possess leadership qualities to motivate and ensure department is operating to full potential
- Must be able to know set-ups on all millwork machinery
- Possess the ability to read drawing and spec sheets and build parts accordingly
- Have full knowledge of all mullion and specialty department parts
- Organize inventory and prioritize projects
- Perform related work/tasks as required
- Must have manufacturing experience
You also need to be:
- Be willing to work at a fast pace
- Provide your own gloves when needed and/or allowed
- Be willing to be exposed to dust when the machines are running
- Be flexible - individuals may be moved to different lines depending on workload and staffing needs
- Attendance is important, absenteeism and tardiness are not acceptable
- Due to the environment of the warehouse, you must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
