Position Summary:

This Shipping & Receiving Clerk will assist with duties related to the internal warehouse, which includes all shipping and receiving services. Responsibilities will specifically be focused on ensuring the timely and accurate flow of transactional information. This position will work closely with the Account Services, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments to achieve division objectives while maintaining a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy. This individual also contributes to a positive team atmosphere and applies safety guidelines in a fair and consistent manner.


Some of your duties include:

1. Responsible for loading/unloading goods, product waste disposal, shipping orders, and monitoring stocked items and assisting in other areas as directed.

2. Manage order fulfillment process (parts, raw goods, finished goods), including picking, packing, and shipping to deliver the highest level of customer service.

3. Keep area clean and adhere to the 5'S Housekeeping Standards.

4. Responsible for inventory accuracy and control within the distribution facility including stock rotation.

5. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and assist in other areas as directed.

6. Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements.

7. Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.

8. Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

1. High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience

2. Previous work experience in Shipping & Receiving

3. Demonstrates a "hands-on" problem solving approach

4. Experienced with computer programs and ERP systems - SAP experience is a plus

5. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate time management skills

6. Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

7. Forklift experience is desired

You also need to be:

  • Be willing to work at a fast pace
  • Provide your own gloves when needed and/or allowed
  • Be willing to be exposed to dust when the machines are running
  • Be flexible - individuals may be moved to different lines depending on workload and staffing needs
  • Attendance is important, absenteeism and tardiness are not acceptable
  • Due to the environment of the warehouse, you must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: 2:00pm-11:00pm

Pay rate: $19 Hourly with Weekly Pay
