About the Job:
The Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) Technologist performs all aspects of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Imaging Studies while providing compassion and comfort to all patients.
What Youll Do:
Reviews patient medical information and reconciles physician requests with exams ordered.
Completes essential documentation such as consents and questionnaires prior to beginning patients exam.
Prepares and administers isotopes related to the PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine studies according to department protocols.
Monitors Hot Lab and follows State of New Hampshire guidelines for safe use of radioactive material.
Follows State Guidelines for receiving and disposal of radioactive materials.
Demonstrates proficiency with computer systems such as RIS, PACS and scheduling applications.
Performs all aspects of PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine examinations including oncologic, orthopedic, cardiac, abdominal, lung and all other scans utilizing radiopharmaceutical imaging and/or therapy.
Who You Are:
Completion of two years of Nuclear Medicine training in an AMA approved school to meet the requirements for registry by the ARRT or NMTCB or equivalent training
ARRT(N) or CNMT certification from NMTCB
State of NH Board of Medical Imaging Licensure
PET Certification preferred but not required
