What are the responsibilities and job description for the User Experience Designer position at Solution Partners, Inc.?
We are looking for a UX Designer to join one of our great clients.
They want to see how they document, design, and do usability testing and prototyping. They will come up with the initial design, wireframes and crafting solutions. They need at least 5 years of experience.
Terms: 3 month contract role but we do expect this to extend to the end of the year.
Location: Chicago downtown (They need to be onsite Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the design process from concept to execution, leveraging expertise in user interface design, interaction design, and user experience principles to create intuitive and visually appealing web application interfaces.
- Visualize ideas using professional design tools as well as sticky notes, sketch boards, whiteboard markers or whatever tools are necessary to rapidly work through ideation and move to the next stage
- Execute the design directive of next generation, navigation schemes, patterns, components and templates across the company’s products, insuring a consistent, appealing, and dynamic user experience
- Create final UX deliverables through appropriately detailed specifications including: process flows, wireframes, storyboards, high and low fidelity prototypes adhering to a rapid, iterative and collaborative process
- Work with UX/market researchers to define test plans and iterate designs throughout user testing
- Create visual design assets and document visual styling specification for development team.
- Maintain digital assets to remain consistent with company’s user experience and brand standards
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to visualize and iterate on design concepts, ensuring seamless user interactions and navigation flows.
- Be able to translate usability research findings into design improvements
- Collaborate with Front-End Engineers to ensure seamless implementation of design specifications, providing support and guidance throughout the development process.
- Ensure web application interfaces are accessible to users of all abilities; and optimize designs for performance and scalability to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Minimum 4-5 years of UX Design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, Visual Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise and creativity.
- Highly organized and methodical with excellent time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure timely implementation of design changes and adherence to deadlines.
- A self-starter attitude that can create schedules and define scope of work even when there are no clear requirements and direction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and evolving business needs
- Experience designing for large, complex, digital application projects
- Experience working with the confines of brand guidelines and/or design systems
- Experience building advanced wireframes and prototypes for both web and mobile
- Experience in writing detailed interaction specifications (IA, work flow, page functionality and layout, etc.)
- Understanding of accessibility and how it impacts UX
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and responsive design principles.
Salary : $65 - $70
