Job Purpose
The Marketing Specialist position will embrace both marketing and client relations functions-responsible for leading marketing initiatives (including both creative department and deployment) as well as supporting the organization’s clients through both assigned tasks and wide range of project-related support.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service to all Solutions Management Group staff and clients
Conducts market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
Analyzes data to assess the effectiveness of market campaigns and strategies
Collaborates with the sales and service teams to develop and integrate marketing strategies with overall business goals
Creates marketing collateral that aligns with brand guidelines
Ensures consistency in design, messaging, and branding across all collateral materials
Manages online presence and digital marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility
Develops and manages social media strategies for enhanced engagement and brand awareness
Monitors social media channels for industry trends and customer feedback
Oversees company website updates, ensuring alignment with brand standards and Search Engine Optimization
Creates SMG website sales and service content to improve organic search rankings and user experience-Landing page enhancements
Plans and executes email marketing campaigns across digital, social media, and traditional channels
Assists in leading the technology donation company program, ensure items delivered to local nonprofits, and share their stories on social media
Assists sales team with data processing and sales presentations materials
Participates in weekly business development meetings
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Updates client information in the company contact database
Participates in industry conferences, trade shows, and community events to promote company presence
Organizes company-wide events and community engagement activities to foster team morale and brand viability
Coordinates event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and budget management
Participates in off-site events to promote SMG’s presence in the community
Collaborates with Human Resources on employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
Create content for internal newsletters to keep employees informed of company news and initiatives
Qualifications
Employee must be able to execute strong customer service skills
Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications and/or Business
Prior experience with social media management
Experience with content management software
Experience with SEO Optimization, Google AdWords and social media analytics
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
