The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Lead you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Serving as the Global Supply Chain Point-of-Contact (GSC POC) for the NPI projects that support the various business areas of Solventum (i.e. AWC, MedTech, IP&SS, P&F).
Leading the GSC extended team (functional SMEs) in the set-up and integration of new products, either manufactured in house or bought-in finished goods, through all phases of product development to commercial launch.
Compiling and maintaining project timelines, resource needs, cost targets, and capital estimates.
Tracking and reporting on deliverables by state-gate and key milestones status.
Directing where needed the NPI efforts at contract manufacturers and/or 3rd party suppliers.
Partnering closely with Research and Development, Process Technology Engineering, and Manufacturing organizations to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Providing feedback on design inputs, business case parameters, and timelines to core NPI team.
Driving efforts into the receiving manufacturing sites to ensure technical and operational readiness for the new processes, providing project management of design transfer into stable production processes for commercial launch.
Liaising with internal and external customers, proactively managing the risk associated with viability, design assurance, and scalability.
Monitoring and reporting out on the NPI portfolio to leadership and businesses.
Supporting quality standards within the Engineering Group, ensuring adherence to the QMS, directing and executing where needed CAPA's, supporting quality metrics.
Ensuring and executing continuous manufacturing excellence and driving a focused innovative approach within the team.
Collaborating with Solventum Pilot Plant Operations.
Adhering to the standardized procedures and controls related to quality, environment, H&S and security protocols in accordance with industry, customer and organizational requirements.
Aligning and supporting the definition of key goals and objectives aligning with the strategy.
Performing other duties as required.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND seven (7) years of manufacturing, operations engineering, and/or supply chain leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from AND eleven (11) years of manufacturing, operations engineering, and/or supply chain leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Project engineering experience in manufacturing process development, validation, and design transfer expertise.
Master’s degree in manufacturing management, project/technical management, or other related discipline.
Lean Six Sigma Black belt or Master Black Belt accreditation.
Proven track record of delivering lean initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to establish, communicate, and implement long-term strategic and operational goals.
Effectively manage a volume of work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Accomplished record of problem-solving, sharing evidence of critical thinking, and considerate decision making.
Establish and maintain networks, influence in a matrixed organization, and communicate in a clear and highly professional manner.
Work location:
Remote - United States (preferred near Maplewood, MN; Brookings, SD; Irving, CA; Monrovia, CA; or San Antonio, TX)
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
