What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Solventum?
Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift
The person hired for the position of Production Supervisor will provide supervisory leadership for 3rd shift manufacturing operations and is responsible for driving safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, leading crew meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment.
- Providing supervision to production and warehouse hourly employees and ensuring accuracy in production reporting and time reporting for payroll.
- Working and communicating cross-functionally with site support teams (EHS, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Production Planning) to meet production schedules and implement improvements.
- Handling shifts administrative activities such as training, time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, training, etc.
- Planning daily work schedules, prioritizing, allocating work assignments, and monitoring production processes to meet specific daily production requirements for customer deliveries.
- Encouraging and implementing continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and spending

- Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
