Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with operating systems, software applications, and networking issues.
- Manage and support AV equipment in conference rooms, including video conferencing systems, projectors, screens, microphones, and speakers.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Provide technical assistance during internal meetings and events that require AV equipment setup.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operation and integration of AV systems with other infrastructure.
- Document support issues, resolutions, and service requests in ticketing systems.
- Perform software and hardware installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new user workstations.
- Provide remote support as needed, ensuring users receive timely resolutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar IT support role.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, hardware, and software.
- Experience with audio-visual systems, including setup and troubleshooting of video conferencing, projectors, and AV equipment.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic networking principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
- Knowledge of AV equipment brands like Crestron, Extron, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.
