Position Description:
Supervising production activities and performing bottling line operations of dietary supplement products.
Essential responsibilities:
- Ensures strict adherence to GMPs, safety, sanitation, and other company regulations.
- Performs bottling line operations from documentation, line preparation, material acquisition and distribution, bottling operations, packing, to preparing for shipping.
- Identifies work order kits and has them quality-approved before they enter the production floor.
- Ensures materials to point of use.
- Organizes personnel and materials for efficient production runs.
- Must be trained in all areas of responsibility
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Ensures that all packaging supplies such as boxes, shrink-wrap or labels. Sets up or assigns set up of machine with correct lids, bottles, labels and product.
- Operates machinery with ability to make minor adjustments.
- Records information, such as batch code, time, and date packaged. Responsible for correct count, accurate label placement, batch codes and lids for each bottle. Must work from technical data to ensure quality production runs.
- May also keep records on number of items or cartons shipped from the warehouse.
- Proposes Improvements of tools, machines, processes, and products.
- Able to change and advocates change to stablish improved methods of production.
- Supports improvement projects from within the department or others.
- Participate and conduct regular SQDIC meetings
- Maintain 5S standards in his/her area of direct responsibility.

- Must contribute to department team incentive goals. Team incentive goals and rewards are based on productivity, in both quantity and quality of work and the accuracy to which the job and/or processes are completed. Each team member is dependent upon the contribution level of his/her co-worker.
- As part of the production team each employee is required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the bottling department.
- Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Ensures compliance of production lines, equipment, and premises.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Has the ability to lead people and conduct performance evaluations.
- Has basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Kaisen, Poke Yoke, etc.
- Able to work with computers and software applications related to the job.
- Must have experience with an inventory management system such as Fishbowl.
Competencies/skill Qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Spoken and written English Proficiency required
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
