24-25 Utility Aide

Job Goal : To assist in the provision for the security and protection of all students, staff, and property at an elementary school.Responsibilities include :

• Oversee the entrances to building in order to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Conduct inspections of doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
• Report any unusual conditions or malfunctions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.Qualifications :
• Ability to work as a member of the school based team
• Good people skills
• Good organizational skills
• Effective student management skills
• Proficiency in multiple languages is strongly preferred
• One year of post high school education preferredTerms of Employment :
• This position is a school-year position;
• This is a part-time position, with a maximum of 18 hours per week;
• Work schedule requires some flexibility, may require mornings, afternoons and / or evening hours;
• This position is not eligible for life, medical, or dental benefits; and
