What are the responsibilities and job description for the 24-25 Active Kids Assistant Trainer position at Somerville School District?
Job Goal: Assist the Active Kids Lead Trainer in running the before school physical activity program
Qualifications:
- Interest in health, wellness and fitness
- Experience working with elementary aged students
- Strong behavior management skills
- Available during before school hours (7am-8am)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CPR certification (preferred, not required)
Responsibilities:
- Review Active Kids curriculum and understand how to execute all lessons & related activities
- Support the lead trainer to lead, manage and oversee the flow of class including
- Enforce safety procedures and rules to manage behavior
- Be able to support students in fitness related activities
- Assist in taking daily attendance and other management duties as needed

- 3 days a week for 24 weeks
