24-25 Active Kids Lead Trainer

Job Goal: Lead the Active Kids before school physical activity program

Qualifications:

• Interest in health, wellness and fitness
• Experience working with elementary aged students 
• Strong behavior management skills
• Available during before school hours (7am-8am)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPR certification (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities:

• Distribute and collect registration forms for the program
• Act as primary liaison at designated school by assisting in communication and dissemination of information to principal, teachers, families and students
• Promote the program to teachers, students and families at the school 
• Review Active Kids curriculum and understand how to execute all lessons and related activities
• Utilize existing lesson plans and/or create daily lesson plans to include: warm-up, run, skill of the week, relay race/obstacle course and game, cool down
• Lead, manage and oversee the flow of class including explanation and enforcement of safety procedures and rules to manage behavior
• Create attendance tracker and take attendance daily
• Communicate directly with families, school staff & administration and District Wellness Coordinator as needed 

Terms of Employment:

• Yearly Appointment
• $30/hour 
• 1 hour per day (7am-8am)
• 4 days a week for 24 weeks

Reports to:  District Wellness Coordinator
