What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Talent Acquisition position at Somos?
Eligibility Requirements
- Our internship program is remote based; however, the intern must be in the United States.
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university during the internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above (based on a 4.0 scale)
- Available to work full time (40 hours/week) for the entire program (June 9th - August 29th).
- Required to undergo a pre-employment background check.
Working closely with the department, the Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide general support to recruiting, building talent pipeline, onboarding.
- Assist in networking opportunities to drive potential talent pipelines.
- Conduct internet research and perform special projects as assigned.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our recruiting metric dashboards and scorecards.
- Complete timely input of resource data and understanding of weekly trends in resource categories, the ideal candidate will have a passion for optimizing data and talent metrics.
- Periodically assisting with the set up and facilitation of HR operational activities.
- Support Somos culture and employee engagement initiatives for VOE (Voice of the Employee), including researching ideas, project management assistance, etc.
- Job shadowing or rotational work with Human Resources.
- Assist with digitization of HR records.
- Other tasks as assigned.

- Assist team with skills enablement program and talent pipeline projects
- Intern capstone project
Qualifications & Skills
- Current senior student or enrolled in a graduate program in human resources or related field
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks, projects, and workload
- Eager to learn and take initiative
- Proven ability to interact and communicate in a professional, positive, and constructive way
- Motivated to learn quickly, independently, and grow in HR career
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Prior HR internship experience
