In this critical role, you will be working in Acquisition, transforming and analyzing data to support data management, system development, and Management Reporting, you will play a key role in supporting the Reserving Systems supporting analysis and financial quarter-end cycle and regulatory compliance. This position will report to the Reserving Chief Systems Officer.

What you’ll be doing:
SRP Data Lake Acquisition
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of in-house SRP Data Lake and tools.
- Ability to review new emerging technologies and evaluate to support or enhance existing systems.
- Oversee the collection, cleaning, and transformation of data for reserving purposes.
- Develop and implement data quality checks and controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage data governance and security within the reserving function.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and debug complex SQL stored procedures.
- Collaborate with actuaries to maintain, enhance, and implement robust reserving methodologies.
- Stay abreast of and evaluate new technologies and tools that can improve reserving efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless data flow and system integration.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the reserving function.
- Manage and deliver on key off-quarter projects related to SRP system, data infrastructure, and process automation.
- Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

- Clearly and concisely communicate technical information related to data, SRP system, IBNR booking, and reserving methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in P&C insurance reserving, with a strong focus on data management and system development.
- Strong programming skill in MS SQL Server, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, Power BI, Azure Databricks.
- Proven experience with ETL, data warehousing, version control, and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Pivot, Report Builder.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and debug complex SQL stored procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to think critically and independently.
- Proficiency in actuarial reserving software and tools.
