We Are Looking For
A Pharmacy Technician to work on our medication management team who will play a personal role within our community to ensure our patients receive the medication and care they need. This position works with patients in our Sona Access Program, which is a Medication Support Program that provides 7-day adherence packaging and monthly care calls for patients enrolled in the program. This person will work on a team of technicians and under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients and filling prescriptions, including locating, dispensing, packaging, and labeling prescribed medication for patients.
Responsibilities
This position is on-site at Sona Pharmacy Asheville (805 Fairview Road) but operates in the back of the building. It is not typically patient-facing but is phone-heavy. The role is 40 hours a week, with rotating weekends.

We Are Looking For

Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the fulfillment process, including processing incoming prescriptions (via escribe, fax, phone-in, etc.), hand counting, labeling, and managing a SynMed robot
- Perform monthly care calls with patients to ensure they are taking their medication as prescribed and to determine if any new prescriptions are needed
- Coordinate with patients' provider offices and caregivers on behalf of the patient to ensure all parties are working together for the good of the patient
- Develop relationships with patients and suggest additional Sona services that may be beneficial
- Answer incoming phone calls and communicate heavily with other team members, patients, caregivers, community partners, and provider offices
- Provide hospitality to customers by assisting them with questions and offering Pharmacist consultations when appropriate
- Resolve issues when they arise (i.e. patient questions, insurance rejections, etc.)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented and highly organized
- Team player
- CPhT license is a plus but not required
