Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a Deployment/Infrastructure Engineer with critical thinking and effective communication skills to join our system infrastructure as code team responsible for bare-medal and/or containerized deployment of mission-critical, training, and real-time software applications that will be deployed in commercial and/or private environments.
The position will require the potential partner to work on-site in Waterford, CT and may require some travel in support of the project.
What you will be doing:
The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the deployment of mission-critical military software applications using an Agile development process working alongside developers across the entire stack, from planning through test and sustainment, and working closely with a quality assurance team.

Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 5 years of related technical experience in IT or DevOps automation supporting software and system engineering projects
Desired, but not required, qualifications:
- Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
- 5 years of related technical experience using scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript or similar language
- Knowledge of building, managing, scaling and deploying containerized (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, etc.) solutions in a production environment
- Thorough understanding of networking: TCP/IP and application protocols
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Experience with Postgres and MySQL databases
- Experience with using scripting languages and tools to automate information system administration and security functions
- Experience using Git-based toolsets
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with .NET computer programming
- Experience with logging and metrics collection, and reporting stacks
- Experience with software testing frameworks
- Experience using Software Composition and/or Static Analysis tools
- Experience with SELinux
- Active Security or equivalent certification(s)
