Shifts: Mon-Fri 6am - 2pm (Days)' Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm (Swing), Sun-Thurs 10pm-6am (Grave)
Wage: Day - $18.75/hr., Swing - $19.75/hr., Grave - $20.25/hr. (Shift Differential Included, Sign-on Bonus Eligible, paid lunches and more!)
We are looking for a Unicorn, aka an experienced glue machine operator. Have you operated International, Heidelberg, or Heiber-Schroder machines? How about a Leary and HHS glue system? We are searching for our next rock star to operate a glue machine and equipment within the established guidelines, efficiencies, and run speeds while producing a quality product. This department is critical to the success of Sonderen Packaging because it is the last checkpoint to ensure quality standards are met before the product is shipped to the customer.
Essential Functions Include:
- The operator is expected to efficiently set up and run straight-line, auto-bottom, 4 and 6 corner biers, and cartons with internal dividers while maintaining a high level of quality.
- The glue machine operator leads a team of 2-3 people comprised of a feeder/assistant and packer inspectors.
- The operator is tasked with inspiring the team to meet production goals and quality parameters.
- Read, understand, and verify questions on job ticket are accurate and review product with labels and job ticket.
- Review printing quality and keep the machine and equipment running in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure efficiencies, run speeds, and down time are within specified limits.
- Set up and run jobs in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Qualifications
What we need from you (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.):
- Familiarity with Straight-line, Auto-bottom, 4 and 6/corner and internals.
- Experience with International, Heidelberg, Heiber-Schroder, and Leary and HHS glue systems. Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through HS diploma or Equivalent education or an equivalent combination knowledge, skills, education or work-related experience.
- Six months relevant experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
