Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a superior work ethic and ensure timely resolution of referrals.
- Handle all incoming authorizations via paper, phone, email, or electronic submission.
- Contact insurance companies to verify patient benefits and obtain pre-certifications.
- Utilize insurance websites to secure pre-certifications.
- Submit referral information to insurance companies for approval/authorization.
- Maintain accurate records of pending referrals and follow up as needed.
- Notify patients regarding referral locations and provide necessary details.
- Respond to phone inquiries related to referrals promptly and professionally.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers regarding authorizations and related processes.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to facilitate referral processing.
- Engage in clear and empathetic communication with patients to improve service quality and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clinic staff and management to streamline operations and optimize the patient experience.
- Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of all patient information in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
