Our client is looking for a Senior Director of E-Commerce who is a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, and delivering a top-tier digital customer experience across B2B and B2C platforms. This senior leadership position requires someone who thrives in overseeing the full scope of the e-commerce function, from day-to-day operations to long-term strategy, and will have ownership over all processes within the department. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in food or distribution, with proven expertise in both B2B and B2C environments. This role will manage a team of 8-10 direct reports and requires someone with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, and the ability to sell online and manage digital ads effectively.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive e-commerce strategy focused on scaling B2B and B2C sales, improving operational efficiencies, and driving customer satisfaction.
- Take ownership of all processes within the e-commerce department, managing team performance and aligning goals with overall business objectives.
- Manage external relationships with digital agencies, ensuring successful collaborations that align with the company's strategy and operational needs.
- Oversee and optimize Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify Plus (with a proven track record of managing Shopify for $50 million in sales), and Amazon FBA / FBM to enhance scalability, functionality, and performance.
- Take a hands-on role in the day-to-day management of e-commerce operations, including platform performance, product listings, order processing, and ensuring a seamless digital customer experience.
- Directly manage and resolve operational and technical issues across Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, and Amazon platforms.
- Collaborate closely with IT, logistics, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of e-commerce platforms with ERP and WMS systems.
- Lead digital marketing and revenue-generating initiatives such as SEO, paid advertising (including digital ads and PPC), and conversion rate optimization.
- Utilize Shopify, Amazon, and other platforms to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction through effective marketplace strategies and advertising.
- Focus on improving search rankings, product visibility, and maintaining top-tier seller ratings across all platforms.
- Continuously enhance the customer experience by ensuring real-time inventory updates, personalized marketing, and seamless online navigation.
- Use advanced analytics tools to track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, average order value, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Develop and execute pricing, demand forecasting, and promotional strategies based on data insights to maximize profitability.
- Manage and mentor a team of 8-10 direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Provide guidance and professional development for team members to elevate operational excellence across the e-commerce department.
