We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our client's engineering teams, drive technical strategy, and oversee the development of high-impact products. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on coding to scale and optimize platforms. This role is mostly remote but must be able to travel to the Austin office as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, both on-site and offshore, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Drive the technical architecture for scalability, performance, and security across our platform.
- Oversee development and maintenance of core products, ensuring high-quality code and efficient delivery (20% of time spent coding).
- Manage and optimize SQL database performance and complex stored procedures.
- Lead AWS cloud migration and infrastructure improvements.
- Collaborate with product management to align technical initiatives with business goals.
- Implement agile processes to improve team efficiency and output.
- Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and capacity planning.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies where beneficial.
