Real Estate Development and Property Management Organization is on a search for their next Accounting Manager. As the Accounting Manager, you will provide timely and organized reporting to ensure the business's owners and upper management can make informed decisions at a moment's notice.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor budget tracking, comparing actual expenses and revenues against budgeted figures
• Prepare and analyze weekly financial reports, including expense reports and cash flow statements, to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the owners and upper management across all companies.
• Perform bank deposits and ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations for all business entities, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Preparing tax filings, real estate tax, and sales tax, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Oversee Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and billing back tenants in accordance with lease agreements.
• Allocate labor costs appropriately across business units to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational budgeting.
• Develop and implement best practices for financial processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Proficient in using QuickBooks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred:
• Understands real estate development operations is preferred.
• CPA preferred
Compensation: $80,000-$110,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
