We are partnering with a prestigious international law firm known for its collaborative and professional atmosphere. The Firm is seeking a dynamic Conference Services Coordinator for it's New York headquarters. The position will be filled on a long-term, project basis. Candidates will interface with staff, lawyers, vendors, and clients, and play a crucial role in the Firm's conference center operations. The position provides a candidate the opportunity to be a key part of the Firm's administrative community, ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including catering, audio-visual needs, room setup, and transportation through various communication channels.
- Greet and escort guests to conference rooms, ensuring their comfort until the host arrives.
- Confirm meeting details and logistics with attorneys and planners, arranging pre-conference meetings for larger events.
- Prepare and present function reports for daily and weekly operations meetings.
- Collaborate with other departments and handle special projects as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or equivalent work experience preferred, with at least three years of conference planning and hospitality experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Customer service-focused with strong interpersonal skills, a positive manner, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation: $25-28/hr
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
