We have an exciting FULLY remote Financial Reporting Manager opportunity industry that will assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly consolidated financial statements for the firm and its subsidiaries. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in financial reporting, audit coordination, and tax filings, all while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. We are considering candidates from 1 years of public accounting experience as long as you show drive and hunger to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures.
- Audit Support: Assist in planning and managing annual audits, including employee benefit audits and other special purpose entity audits.
- Variance Analysis: Support financial analysis by assisting with variance narrative development and reporting.
- Tax Filings: Prepare required schedules and filings for IRS Form 990 and 990-T.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as General Accounting and Budget Planning, to ensure smooth financial operations.
- External Relations: Act as a liaison with external auditors and partners, ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to developing and implementing policies to streamline financial operations and improve internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 1 years of experience in financial reporting, with a focus on consolidated financial statements for a higher education institution or nonprofit organization.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Hyperion, Banner ERP, or Oracle OAS preferred.
- CPA Certification: Required or if you are close you will still be considered.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
