We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Retail HR Business Partner to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, supporting HR initiatives that align with the organization’s goals, enhance employee engagement, and drive performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Support: Work closely with senior leadership and line managers to understand business needs and implement tailored HR strategies.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment process for retail positions, ensuring the timely hiring of skilled candidates while adhering to company standards and culture.
- Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, handling conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Performance Management: Partner with managers to monitor and evaluate employee performance, assist with setting performance objectives, and develop improvement plans when needed.
- Learning and Development: Identify training needs, develop training plans, and support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training programs.
- Employee Engagement: Design and implement initiatives to foster a positive working environment, improve employee morale, and reduce turnover.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to labor regulations, workplace safety, and equal opportunity employment.
- HR Metrics & Reporting: Analyze HR data and metrics to make informed decisions regarding talent management, turnover, and employee satisfaction.
- Compensation & Benefits: Assist in the administration of compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business objectives.
- Change Management: Support and guide the organization through changes such as organizational restructuring, leadership changes, and policy updates.
- Health and Safety: Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met, addressing any concerns promptly and in line with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- 3 years of HR experience in a retail or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment law.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise business leaders at all levels.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees and leadership teams.
- Experience with HR systems, reporting tools, and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience with performance management systems and employee development programs.
