Soni is seeking a Payroll Administrator!
Requirements:
Payroll Processing:
- Administer and process weekly payroll for union construction workers in multiple states.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, union dues, and other deductions.
- Manage the payroll system to ensure timely and accurate processing, including vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and other benefits.
Union Compliance:
- Ensure all payroll transactions align with the appropriate union agreements, including pay rates, shift differentials, benefits, and fringe benefits.
- Track and report union dues, benefits, and other required contributions as per union guidelines.
- Maintain an understanding of union-specific payroll requirements across different localities and contracts.
Tax & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate tax withholding for employees in multiple states and jurisdictions, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws, union regulations, and compliance requirements in all relevant states.
- Prepare and submit quarterly tax filings, including 941 forms, state unemployment tax returns, and other relevant filings.
Timekeeping and Records Management:
- Verify and maintain accurate records of employee work hours, including regular, overtime, and holiday pay.
- Review and reconcile timecard discrepancies and work with project managers or supervisors to resolve issues.
- Ensure all payroll-related documentation and records are maintained in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Reporting and Auditing:
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and finance teams, including detailed breakdowns of payroll, deductions, taxes, and fringe benefits.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary payroll documentation and reports for verification.
- Track and report on workers’ compensation, insurance, and other payroll-related accounts.
Employee Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, including pay discrepancies, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Provide education to employees regarding union benefits and payroll-related questions.
Coordination with HR & Finance:
- Collaborate with HR to ensure all employee records, new hires, terminations, and benefits information are accurately reflected in the payroll system.
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure payroll costs are properly allocated to respective projects and cost centers.

Compensation: $24 to $30 an hour
