A professional Sales Account Manager and customer advocate focused on the details of each project. You are capable of taking projects from concept to finish while communicating effectively at all levels, internally and externally. You are able to plan, prioritize, develop timelines and work with multiple manufacturing partners and suppliers to meet deadlines in order to bring a product to life for our clients. You are a motivated self-starter who strives for perfection, works well in a fast paced, team environment, and are driven to deliver uncompromising value. You are an organized, tech savvy professional willing to leverage systems and information in order to be successful.
Some of What You Will Do
· Field incoming project inquiries, assess if the Opportunity is a fit by collecting detailed information to assure all project details are documented to determine if the appropriate manufacturing partner(s) are to be engaged.
· Participate in targeted outreach to potential clients through a defined sales process.
· Develop costs, client price and gross profit levels through communication with suppliers and develop the best lead times on new projects to meet customer requirements and deliver a formal quotation.
· Work with customer and suppliers to bring materials together for stability and compatibility samples and submit to plant to perform testing where applicable.
· Obtain MSDS, specifications, credit references, certificates of analysis and other information from potential and current customers.
· Manage artwork from customers and deliver to suppliers if it arrives prior to the purchase order.
· Develop project timelines and deadlines while prioritizing activities and focus on specific details.
· Maintain system information, contact with suppliers for new packaging capabilities or potential changes within their offering.
· Negotiate with new or existing suppliers for optimum price point and quantity levels.
· Develop sample kits and boards for customers/potential customers.
· Coordinate new projects and turnkey packaging programs with a high level of complexity during developmental phase with outside and technical sales people.
· Provide sales support for incoming potential customer calls.
· Add new opportunities to CRM when assigned and continue to update status of opportunity.
· Maintain weekly project sheets of current customer activity.
· Other duties as may be assigned.
What You Need
· Undergraduate degree preferred plus 5 years’ experience OR some college and at least 7 years’ experience in Project and/or Account Management within a contract packaging organization.
· A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
· Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and operate independently when required.
· The ability to understand and communicate the details of complex programs working with the team.
· Possess excellent analytical skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Be a team player, able to work in a group with the ability to teach and learn from others.
· Ability to read and understand print layouts, drawings and artwork.
· Familiarity with package and label printing along with an understanding of filling organizations.
· Must have contract packaging and printing experience.
· Experience with cloud based ERP and finance systems. NetSuite a plus.
