Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Master Production Scheduler to join our team in Bardstown, KY. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain master production schedules for multiple product lines based on sales forecasts, historical data, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure production schedules align with customer demand and inventory levels.
- Monitor production processes to identify potential bottlenecks or delays and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to achieve production targets and cost-efficiency goals.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
- Generate reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production schedules, inventory levels, and on-time delivery.
- Implement and maintain ERP or MRP systems to support production planning and scheduling activities.
- Lead regular meetings with production teams to communicate schedule updates, priorities, and production goals.
- Continuously improve scheduling processes and procedures to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in production scheduling and manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Scheduler or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in welding, fabrication, assembly, and CNC machining.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using ERP or MRP systems for production planning and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
- Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., APICS) is preferred.
