Housekeeping Supervisor

Wage: $22.00-24.00/hour

Typical Schedule: 5 days a week. Must be available to work some weekends and Holidays

Primary Purpose of Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team, leading the small team of housekeepers and participating in daily cleaning activities. The supervisor will ensure cleanliness and member satisfaction by taking ownership for the cleanliness and attention to detail of the club.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the club’s public spaces

· Inspect common areas by doing daily walk throughs

· Report any damage or problems with the facilities and equipment using HotSOS to route work orders to the Engineering department.

· Train, coach and evaluate housekeepers on their job performance according to the club standards. When necessary take appropriate action (retraining, etc.) to ensure that their job performance is at a high quality level.

· Interact with the club members in a friendly, positive and professional manner, using member names whenever possible.

· Ensure the housekeeping closets are clean and organized.

· Perform all housekeeping duties required by the operation and business demands to include all of the following:

• • Clean public and employee areas, restaurant, hallways, lights, restrooms, outdoor furniture, fitness center, offices, fitness and golf locker rooms, restaurant and all other aspects of the Club.
  • Launder all locker room and pool towels. Fold locker room towels and restock.
  • Replenish bathroom and locker room supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, deodorizers, soap, trash bags, etc.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners (other floor may be required including scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors).
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors, empty waste baskets, dust display shelves, dust ceiling fan blades, clean glass doors, door knobs, and windows. 
  • Sweep outdoor sidewalks around clubhouse and pick up trash and debris in bushes and landscaping.
  • Clean rugs/carpets and upholstered furniture using vacuum cleaners.
  • Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings as needed.
  • Clean out vacuums once a week, keeping a maintenance log.
  • Empty waste baskets daily.
  • Maintain respect for guest/member belongings and Sonnenalp property and equipment.
  • Report any items left behind by members to management.
  • Clean and stock cleaning supplies cart daily.
• Participate in the recycling program.
• Perform deep cleaning several times a year of the Club and its facilities.
• Participate in all team cleans as directed by the Director of Operations
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Education/Experience

· Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training

· Housekeeping supervisory or related job experience preferred

· Able to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English

Special Skills/Equipment

• Duties are performed under minimal supervision, but with constant interaction with other club employees and guests.
• Must work as a team player with housekeeping staff and other departments

Essential Physical Requirements

This role involves demanding physical abilities including but not limited to:

• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, bend, crawl
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
