Diesel Mechanic

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Position: Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $28.74 - 30.83/hr (Depending on experience)

Shift: Monday-Friday from 8 - 4:30 PM.

Sonoco Chattanooga Mill is currently searching for a Diesel Mechanic for its facility in Chattanooga, TN.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair. Will provide maintenance information by using CMMS.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Military training and or Technical School preferred
• Prior experience with heavy diesel equipment and trailer maintenance
• Prior experience and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a professional manner.
• Ability to work multiple shifts with potential overtime hours
