Location : Chattanooga, TN
Position : Diesel Mechanic
Pay : $28.74 - 30.83 / hr (Depending on experience)
Shift : Monday-Friday from 8 - 4 : 30 PM.

Sonoco Chattanooga Mill is currently searching for a Diesel Mechanic for its facility in Chattanooga, TN.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair. Will provide maintenance information by using CMMS.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Military training and or Technical School preferred
- Prior experience with heavy diesel equipment and trailer maintenance
- Prior experience and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a professional manner.
- Ability to work multiple shifts with potential overtime hours
