This individual will partner with lead teachers in our primary grades. This is generally an entry-level position. Applicants should have a teaching credential and hold a B.A./B.S. degree. Strong interpersonal skills, pedagogical expertise, a growth mindset, the ability to integrate into our school culture, a good sense of humor, and flexibility are essential.
This individual will have strong math instructional skills as well as excellent skills in teaching literacy and writing. Emphasis will be placed on the ability to develop and implement a dynamic curriculum and differentiate to meet the varied needs of learners. The applicant should be able to demonstrate a strong background in current best practices in education and effectively apply these to her/his teaching. Hours are minimally 7:45 am to 4:00 pm with a weekly faculty meeting until 4:30, although team planning meetings may require additional time. In addition to teaching academic classes, all faculty share in daily supervision duties at the school. Occasional evening and weekend commitments are required throughout the school year, as well. The start date for this position is immediate.
Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position is an annualized prorated range of $45K-$55K, competitive and commensurate with experience. The benefits package is excellent and includes professional development opportunities.
