What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Sports Referee-Basketball position at Sonoma County Family YMCA?
Pay rate: $17.87-$24 (based on experience)
This position is part-time. Availability to work Saturdays from 8:30a-4:30p required.
Youth Basketball program runs March-April and is held at Maria Carillo High School.

Our Youth Basketball Referees officiate youth basketball games.
Successful candidates for this position possess the following skills-
- Reasonable knowledge of the game of basketball with an emphasis on the rules.
- Supportive of diversity and inclusion in all interactions.
- Ability to maintain control all aspects of a basketball game.
- Strong communication skills.
- Work involves extended periods of standing and moving quickly around the court.
Minimum Qualifications-
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Fingerprint clearance from both Department of Justice (DOJ) & FBI, which includes sex offender screening.
Preferred Qualifications-
- CPR/First Aid certification (or the ability to be certified once hired)
- Language skills in Spanish.
