Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging dance instruction aligned with district standards, emphasizing student creativity and artistic growth.
- Create an inspiring classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, self-expression, and collaborative learning.
- Evaluate student performance and provide ongoing feedback to promote artistic development and personal growth.
- Foster an inclusive classroom culture where all students feel supported and inspired to explore their dance talents.
- Collaborate effectively with faculty, administrators, and parents, communicating student progress and instructional goals.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned, particularly related to emergency, crisis, or pandemic circumstances.
- Appropriate valid California Teaching Credential in Dance.
- Demonstrated experience or education in dance instruction preferred.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Physical agility and stamina required to instruct dance effectively, including movement demonstrations, sustained physical activity, and classroom management.
- Visual and auditory capabilities suitable for instructional activities and interaction with students.
- Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Dance or eligibility for credential issuance.
- Competitive annual salary range: $74,151 - $116,811 (full-time equivalent), commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Additional stipend available: $1,200 annually for Master's or Doctorate degree holders.
