This senior-level position is responsible for leading and managing the clinical laboratory operations at Banner Payson Medical Center in Payson, AZ. The successful candidate will be accountable for directing personnel actions, developing work goals, and ensuring the laboratory maintains accreditation, licensure, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Directs personnel actions including recruiting, new hire actions, interviewing, and selection of new staff.
- Develops work goals and objectives for the hospital laboratory in accordance with company goals.
- DIRECTS THE OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT OF THE WORK FLOW PROCESS IN ALIGNMENT WITH LSA/SQL's ROADMAP OBJECTIVES AND BANNER HEALTH'S STRATEGIC INITIATIVES.
- Ensures laboratory is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, or related field.
- Certification as a medical technologist under ASCP, NCA, or equivalent as defined under CLIA '88 regulations.
- Three years' experience as a department supervisor or manager.
- A significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of different software programs.
