Job Summary
Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled and organized Diagnostic Specimen Collector to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens for testing, as well as maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with other laboratory staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect and process biological specimens for testing
- Enter patient demographics, location, physician data, tests requested, time and date of collection, and other pertinent data into our computer system
- Verify accuracy of entered information and appropriateness of specimens received
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient specimen processing and testing
Requirements:
- Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
