This Phlebotomy Tech I role is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless sample collection and delivery processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collecting blood and other biological specimens from patients using proper technique and equipment.
- Preparing and processing specimens for testing, including aliquoting and labeling.
- Verifying patient demographics, test orders, and clinical information on requisitions and computer-generated orders.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including completion of lab reports and quality assurance monitoring.
Requirements:
- Completion of a phlebotomy program or relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and computer systems.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
