Job Duties
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to callers
- Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical scheduling and ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical or dental receptionist preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as CareTracker, e-ClincalWorks
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
