Job Description / Summary :
The Student Services Coordinator, in this part-time (not to exceed 29.5 hours week), hourly role, will have a strong emphasis on event coordination, including overseeing significant ceremonies such as Graduation and the White Coat Ceremonies. The role will also support various student services functions to ensure the success and well-being of students at Sonoran University. Reporting to the Dean of Students, this position involves planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of student-focused events, as well as supporting both in-person and online students with their academic and personal needs.

Experience Required
Required : At least 1 year of experience in event planning, event management, or related fields.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
Highly attentive to detail, consistently ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, while maintaining a keen eye for spotting discrepancies and areas for improvement.
Education Requirements
Minimum Education
Certifications High School Diploma / GED with 2 years of experience in event planning, stage management, theater production management, or student services, AND a portfolio of work that demonstrates : (a) writing abilities for professional communication and (b) project organization and coordination skills (such as project management pieces of projects)
Desired Education
Certifications A bachelor's or associate degree in a relevant field and 1 year or more of experience in event planning, stage management, theater
production management, or student services
Working Environment
This position is primarily on campus in Tempe, Arizona. Desk is within a controlled office environment cubicle setting. There could be an option to work remotely for up to 25% of the hours after successfully completing the training period for one event cycle, from start to finish (approximately 6 months).
