SOPREMA is looking to add a Liquid Resin Batch Tender to our team! This position is Monday through Friday, first shift (6:30 am - 3 pm).

The Batch Tender position performs all job responsibilities related with compounding and packaging Liquid Resin products from start to finish. The batch tender will fulfil these duties by following all established work procedures & instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all Environmental, Health, & Safety policies and comply with PPE requirements at all times
• Pull & weigh raw materials accurately according to the batch ticket
• Operate Mixer & associated equipment per the Standard Operating Procedures
• Complete required production paperwork and obtain & submit samples for Quality testing
• Package finished products according to packaging instructions
• Operate Forklifts or pallet jacks to unload and load trucks for Shipping & Receiving
• Store raw materials & finished goods efficiently while keeping the warehouse area clean and organized
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness between products to ensure no contamination
• Constantly monitor product & process characteristics to ensure conformance to specifications
• Notify Supervisor, Quality Manager, or EHS manager of any problems or issues that could adversely affect the QEHS management system
• Notify Supervisor and Maintenance of any machine issues or needed repairs
• Be able to perform all positions within the production department and rotate as needed
• Unload Bulk tanker trucks and obtain samples for Quality testing
• Adhere to all company policies and support management decisions & goals in a positive, professional manner
• Maintain the site housekeeping standards and ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Participate in 5s events, Gemba walks, and Continuous Improvement projects
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school Diploma or GED

· Forklift operation

· Computer literate

· Ability to lead a team and be a team player

· Ability to communicate in a concise and clear manner

· Ability to use analytical lab equipment accurately (scale, viscometer, density cup)

· Possesses a work ethic that includes cooperation, collaboration, timeliness and can do attitude

· Recognizes colors, not color-blind

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times.
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• Periodically work in temperatures above 85 degrees Fahrenheit
• Periodically work outdoors year-round to unload bulk tanker trucks.

Reports to the Production Supervisor.
