What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Sales Representative position at SOPREMA USA?
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Be a subject matter expert and hosting educational seminars, both in-person and virtual
- Build and maintain relationships with key members of the project team, including owners, owner representatives, architects, construction managers, consultants, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors
- Use Insight/Construct connect in order to provide product substitution requests
- Read and interpret construction documents; assist with the development of project specific detail drawings; analyze competitors’ specifications and determine the best alternative solutions
- Review and assist in the preparation of submittal packages
- Utilize strong influencing and sales skills to drive the placement of materials in specifications
- Perform in a team environment with other members of SOPREMA Group
- Coordinate and present SOPREMA products to architects, consultants, and contractors
- Actively engage in industry associations, including but not limited to AIA, BOMA,CSI and IBEC
- Log activities, prospects, projects, tasks, and track the status of projects using Salesforce
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of three years’ experience in similar architectural/specifier related role
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
- Manage multiple projects with varying scopes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management skills
- Willing to travel (when needed); Will vary depending on location within an assigned region
- Salesforce or similar CRM experience
- Flexible work schedule; able to travel on evenings and weekends when necessary for sales meetings/trade shows
- Ability to work from home office
