The Corporate Controller is responsible for supporting all areas relating to the finance department. This position will be responsible for managing the finance staff supporting all US companies. The Corporate Controller in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist the CFO in the monthly closing procedures
- Consolidate monthly reporting from the divisional controllers
- Provide accurate and appropriate reporting to ownership
- Assist CFO with year end audit procedures
- Monitor company-wide cost savings activities
- Provide support for the annual budgeting activities
- Respond to inquiries from the CFO, CEO or other management personnel regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Seven or more years of accounting experience
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, clients, and upper management
- Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel is possible.
- May be required to work extra hours and weekends at month-end or year-end. In addition, additional work hours may be required during the budget process.
Reports to the CFO.
