SUMMARY

Assists the Focused Factory Manager in ensuring the work logistics of safety, quality and production are maintained in the assigned work center(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES

• Responsible for the proper execution of the scheduled work to achieve the objectives of SQDIP.
• Determine the correct measures and resource(s) needed to resolve operational issues.
• Ensures the execution of the training plan for personnel as directed by the Focused Factory Manager.
• Proficient in use and training of the related operating procedures (i.e., ISO Procedures, Design Drawings, Work Instructions, etc..).
• Assign personnel to specific work centers to complete work as per the required date completion.
• Ensures that the work center is production ready at the end of each day.
• Identify and report problems with equipment function, parts and raw materials to the applicable resource.
• Proactive in implementing and sustaining the lean manufacturing and 5S techniques.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Machine Shop Cells: Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Interacts appropriately with the work center personnel to effectively communicate work requirements.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Competency in using Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and business related software.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Machine Shop Cells: Some knowledge of basic trigonometry, angles and arcs.
• Production Cells: Knowledge in performing English-to-Metric conversions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to dust, non-hazardous chemicals, moderate noise levels, moderate temperatures, and occasionally high noise levels.

REQUIRED TRAINING

All required training is determined by the Department Focused Factory Manager and/or Manager. Procedures critical to this position can be identified as such on the Department Training Matrixes which are located in the Human Resources Department.
