Job Summary

The Compliance & Ethics Specialist is a member of the Compliance and Ethics Department and reports to the Director of Legal Compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for tasks and projects related to various Compliance and Ethics Department objectives and key results. You will work closely with the Legal and Compliance & Ethics Team members and Company stakeholders to implement and complete various regulatory tasks, Compliance & Ethics Program initiatives, and ad hoc projects. In this role, you should also expect to participate in and lead compliance-related initiatives, requiring the ability to communicate information clearly and confidently.

You will need to develop and maintain knowledge of current FCC regulations, TRS Fund Administrator instructions, and company policies. The position will work with all Company departments to ensure policies, procedures, and activities comply with all regulatory and company requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Legal Compliance with respect to all aspects of ethics, compliance, and control governance.
  • Preform auditing and assessment tasks related to department activities and be able to spot potential risks or non-compliance concerns.
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement remediation and continuous improvement efforts related to the Company's Compliance and Ethics Program.
  • Investigate, gather, and analyze information, documents and data pursuant to regulatory audit requirements or investigations.
  • Handle simple to moderately complex tasks and projects with minimal supervision and identify significant and complex high-risk issues to supervisor.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties, special projects, and ad hoc assignments

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Minimum

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

Minimum Years of Experience

  • 1 year related experience that includes auditing, reporting, legal, or compliance experience.
  • 2 years administrative experience involving communication and process management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Motivated, with a desire to learn and develop
  • Ability to communicate with a high level of confidence and credibility
  • Focused on problem solving, analysis and providing value
  • Ability to multitask and make fact- and risk-based decisions and recommendations
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Excel & pivot tables
  • Outstanding customer service with both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Excellent time management and understanding of the OKR methodology for goal setting and productivity management
  • Business etiquette and acumen
  • Sound judgment and decision-making framework
  • Ability to research source materials, regulations, case law and administrative orders to develop solid working knowledge of subject matter.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk and work with a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Infrequent travel may be required
