Job Summary:
A School Kitchen Staff member is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to students and staff in a school cafeteria. They ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and provide a friendly and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals following school menus and dietary requirements.
- Serve food to students and staff in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety regulations and ensure proper food storage.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
- Adhere to portion control and waste reduction guidelines.
- Support in setting up and clearing the dining area before and after meal service.
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient meal service.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
